Missoni Background Project

Here is how our Missoni project turned out! It is three dimensional in that it extends six inches from the lovely screen wall (excuse the rust) It is about 8ft. in length.
Our instructions were to present specific information about our designer using 11X17 modules.

We were trying to recreate something that would present our information as if it were a piece of art in itself, because that is how Missoni designs their clothing. They are pieces of art not clothing. We represented Missoni by creating this art piece in the shape of their most popular motif the herringbone; which they are most known for. And we printed their 3 main patterns on its surface hoping to show how Missoni is able to combine patterns and textures in coordinated and uncoordinated ways. The colors on the board give off the playful and cheerful air that Missoni exudes. And the boards are playful including pictures that flip up to show the text underneath them, we did this by stitching them on. Oh and the chandelier in the front says Missoni we were inspired from one of their chandeliers in their boutique in California.

Overall here it is! Next is spending the rest of the semester designing the boutique!

Can't wait to see the boutique design.

The colors are my favorite part.
