Masonic Hall Design Statement

What do you think of this?
Is it too cheesy?

The White Bengal
-Light and open territory
-Clean and refreshing
-Quietly fierce and exotic
-High contrast of dark shapes on white
-Filled with unique and independent art

Or I can go on the lines of something dealing with the snow on the trees:

Color wise I'm thinking black and white with zaps of cranberry and gold here and there. Minimally eclectic ... controversial, I know but maybe it's an organized clutter. It's Brother McRae I'm designing for.
In the kitchen the cabinetry is white, black granite counter tops, and an obsidian backsplash. The focal point of the kitchen will be a unique, red light fixture above the sink. Umm ... The floors are wood, stained dark, and I haven't decided what to do for the walls-- Just paint them white or put a white, textured wallpaper on them. But that kind of sums up the color aesthetic I'm going for.
